Heavy-Duty Monograde Diesel Engine Oil
Kendall® Super-D 3 monograde diesel engine oils are high-quality diesel engine oils designed for use in a wide variety of applications, including off-highway diesel equipment, farm machinery, marine engines and mixed commercial fleets. These monograde SAE engine oils may also be used in some heavy duty manual transmissions in trucks and buses.
Super-D 3 monograde diesel engine oils are engineered to offer superior wear protection and to reduce the buildup of sludge and varnish. They also safeguard against rust and bearing corrosion while effectively resisting foaming. These oils have excellent soot dispersal properties, which protect against abrasive wear, prevent oil from thickening due to soot and provide outstanding resistance to oxidation, all of which help reduce deposit formation.
Super-D 3 SAE 30 and 50 meet or exceed the performance requirements of API Service Categories CF and SL. They are recommended for use in off-highway diesel equipment and mixed commercial fleets with diesel and gasoline vehicles.
The SAE 40 viscosity grade has low ash content to help minimize the formation of ash deposits on valve seats and faces and help keep intake ports clear to maintain good power output in 2-stroke cycle applications. Super-D 3 SAE 40 meets or exceeds the performance requirements of API Service Categories CF-2 and CF, and also may be used in applications where API CD-quality oil is specified. It is particularly recommended for use in 2-stroke cycle diesel engines in transit buses and marine fleets running on low-sulfur diesel fuel.
