Semi-fluid Extreme-Pressure Polyurea Grease for Non-Driven Trailer Axle Wheel Bearings

Kendall® Extended Bearing Life (EBL) Grease is a semi-fluid, extreme pressure(EP), polyurea grease developed for the lubrication of wheel bearings on non-driven truck trailer axles equipped with oil seals. Formulated to optimize service intervals and reduce operating costs, this wheel bearing grease provides effective lubrication and cooling of wheel bearings exposed to prolonged high operating temperatures for over-the-road applications.

EBL Grease is manufactured with high quality base oils and a non-soap, polyurea thickener. This grease is fortified with EP additives and rust and oxidation inhibitors to provide excellent rust, corrosion and wear protection for a long service life. Additionally, this grease has excellent thermal stability at high temperatures and excellent pumpability at low temperatures for use over a wide range of operating temperatures. It has excellent compatibility with elastomer seals and is resistant to water washout.

    (1)Note: EBL Grease is formulated to provide long service life, typically coinciding with scheduled brake service. However, we recommend that you refer to the “Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) Guidelines” published by the Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC) of the American Trucking Association for relubrication practices. This document provides the following general guidelines for relubrication of wheel bearings in over-the-road trucks:

    “A” PM – 60 days or 25,000 miles
    “B” PM – 180 days or 50,000 miles
    “C” PM – 360 days or 100,000 miles
